This year Native Nosi is hosting an event on 8 October 2022 for World Literacy Day in Celebration of Ponelopele Reading Club, an NPO from Botlokwa Village in Limpopo Province dedicated to teaching children how to read.
These children will drive to the Native Nosi Honey Emporium in Pretoria to meet Author and Actress Salamina Mosese, who will gift each one of them with her book titled “Disaster at gogo’s spaza”, read the book to them and interact with them.
The intention of this exercise is to instill the love of reading into these kids, inspire them by meeting an Author, and expose them to a world different to theirs so that they may see and dream of life beyond their current circumstances.
We will need money for books, refreshments, transport, lunch, tables, chairs, pa system etc. and request your assistance with donating a book for this cause.
